A single-title book cover for Faber Stories, a twenty-book series marking Faber & Faber's 90th year of publishing. Each title in the series was commissioned to a different designer.

The brief called for something spare, playing with repetition and renewal, darkness and light · themes drawn from McGahern's writing. Faber wanted more typographic covers in the series.

The title runs full-height in condensed green letterforms, compressed to a single vertical column that reads as much as image as word.
